July’s Wine of the Month is from New Jersey!
White Horse Winery 2018 Rosé
Winelala has really been on a New Jersey kick lately after a small tour of some of the wineries in the state’s Outer Coastal Plain region. After finding so much delicious and fantastic wine, New Jersey and otherwise, how can we ever truly pick a favorite?
One way is to simply choose the wine to which you keep returning. For us, that is White Horse Winery’s 2018 Rosé. Winemaker Seferino Cotzojay’s cabernet franc/cabernet sauvignon blend is bright, fresh, and dry, with notes of strawberry, cantaloupe, watermelon, citrus zest, and cucumber. The wine has depth and balance without being overdone or heavy, making it absolutely perfect for summertime.
If you’re from the surrounding area — there’s just something about drinking locally. Who needs Provence when you have New Jersey?
White Horse Rosé is available at the winery and at several retailers and restaurants in New Jersey and Delaware, or you can contact Winelala if you need bottles!
